   The Sound of Time, The Waves of Sense  •  시간의 소리, 감각의 파동

     

   Collected sounds from forgotten spaces are converted into frequencies, forming the basis of a “sound–color algorithm” that becomes the material of the work. Interwoven threads—metaphors for light—accumulate into woven reliefs reconstructed from data, envisioning a resonance between the analog and the digital. Sound waves exist beyond perception or intention; depending on how they are received, they may unfold as gentle music or resurface as fragments of memory. The work translates these waves into a visual language, capturing their flow and vibration through the crossing of threads and diffusion of color. At the intersection of digital code and tactile handwork, new layers of time emerge where sensation, perception, and cognition converge.

   잊혀진 공간에서 채집된 소리를 진동수로 변환하고, 이를 기반으로 ‘소리-색 알고리즘’을 제작하여 작업의 물질로 삼는다. 빛을 은유하는 실의 교차와 집적, 그리고 데이터를 토대로 재구성된 직조 부조는 아날로그와 디지털의 공명을 꿈꾼다. 소리라는 파동은 인식이나 의지와 무관하게 존재한다. 수용자가 이를 어떻게 받아들이느냐에 따라 소리는 감미로운 음악이 되기도 하고, 때로는 쓰라린 기억의 파편으로 되살아나기도 한다. 작업은 이러한 소리의 파동을 시각적 언어로 치환하며, 실의 교차와 색의 확산을 통해 파동의 흐름과 진동을 담아낸다. 디지털과 아날로그, 데이터와 손의 감각이 맞닿는 지점에서, 감각과 인식, 그리고 지각이 교차된 새로운 시간의 층위를 엮어내고자 한다.
